berry oatmeal

ingredients (for two bowls):
  • 150gram (gluten-free) oats
  • 300ml rice drink
  • 1tsp matcha powder
  • 100gram frozen berries
topping: coconut flakes, banana slices
preparation:
  1. Mix rice drink and matcha powder in a pot, bring it to the heat and stir in the oats.
  2. Remove from the stove, add the frozen berries (or rather fresh ones), spread out two bowls and top with coconut flakes and banana slices.
Tips:
  • You can very this meal by adding different kinds of powder, e.g. wheatgrass or açaí. Besides, you can use different fruits, too. Oranges, mango, whatever you prefer!
  • To increase the protein level, you can add some seeds, e.g. linseeds or chia seeds.

Yes, I love to share my favorite vegan breakfast recipes with you! I’m not sure if I can call this berry oatmeal porridge or not, because I don’t cook my oats for several minutes. After heating them up, I immediately remove them from the stove. Can you imagine why? Well, I like the mushy consistency, but in general I prefer chewable food. I usually favor raw or steamed veggies compared to soups.

What do you prefer for breakfast? Do you prefer savory or sweet breakfasts? Do you prefer warm or cold meals in the morning? Are you a morning person or do you stay in bed as long as possible? I’m really curious to learn more about your preferences! As I already mentioned in previous posts, my aim is to fulfill your needs and to inspire you. That’s why it’s easier for me to optimize my blog and recipes, if you share your wishes, criticism and preferences with me.

I’m really thankful to have such a motivating plant-based community around me.

THANK YOU!
