ingredients (for 12 patties):
-
1/2 bell pepper, washed and chopped
-
100gram beans
-
15gram fresh basil, washed and chopped
-
1tbs olive oil
-
1tbs tomato paste
-
1tbs balsamic vinegar
-
pinch of salt, pepper, chili
-
100gram cooked millet
-
50gram spelt wholemeal flour
preparation:
-
Bring 200ml salted water to the boil, add millet, turn off the heat and let it soak for 10 minutes.
-
Blend bell pepper, beans, basil, olive oil, tomato paste, balsamic vinegar, salt, pepper and chili in a food processor and mix with millet (wait until millet is cooled) and flour, form small cookies with your hands and either steam them in a pan with heated oil at medium heat for two minutes on each side or bake in the oven for 15 minutes at 175 degrees (350F°).
Tip: If you like, you can prepare them on the grill as well. Therefore I advice you to roll them in a bit of oil first, because they will stick to your grill if the pastry is too dry.
